CHALLENGE: TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS: POSSIBILITIES

The possibilities for me to support you or your team to work with challenge using Transactional Analysis are varied. Working with Transactional Analysis is always a good place to start any development conversation as it helps us to understand why and how we communicate and respond in the way that we do. Recently I have been involved in a project with Women Business Owners, many of who have run successful businesses for many years but have neglected their own development.

Transactional Analysis for Individuals and Teams

A unique opportunity to discover where values and beliefs come from and how they show up in communication, both 1-1 and in a team. Over the years, I have been frustrated by the comments ‘personality clash’ or ‘it’s just Betty……!’

Transactional Analysis helps us to understand that a ‘personality clash’ is likely to come from a difference in values and an expectation of how people/ teams should behave in any given situation aligned to our own.

Transactional Analysis helps us to make sense of that by removing the personal and focussing on a framework to help us make sense of ourselves in the world.

This incorporates:

  • The individual/ team completing a diagnostic
  • Connecting with the individual/ team in ways and at times that work for them
  • The individual/ team being supported by Fiona MacNeill to consider the impact of deeply embedded patterns of communication
  • Enabling the individual/ team to do the thinking they need to do about individual and team voices of judgement, cynicism and fear
  • Unlimited support that includes face-to-face, face-to-face via video, and telephone and email support
  • Ideally, the individual/ team attends a half-day workshop, however, this can also be done remotely across geography and time zones!

These packages are available from as little as £1,200 for 6 months unlimited access for an individual to £7500 for 6 months access for a team of up to six. Everything is possible and no price is fixed.

CHALLENGE: TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS: TESTIMONY

All of the people who provided these testimonials would be happy for you to have a conversation with them. Email me on [email protected] and I can set that up.

“For me, my initial meeting with you was honestly and literally life-changing. It seems rather overdramatic, but it’s the truth. The level of conversation I had with you around my current business situation made me realise I needed to take significant action immediately. I thought about that for two days solid, considered my options and took further guidance from other business leaders that I also trusted who echoed your initial findings.

You made me realise that I was not in control of my business, I wasn’t thinking about the interests of the overall business and in effect I was ineffective and it would not change if I continued to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.

You made me realise I had to be brave and do the right thing. I did what I thought was the right thing. I feel in control today for the first time. I know that the decisions I make are mine alone and that I am absolutely the master of my own destiny.

I am not an overly emotional person, but I can say with hand on heart that I would not be sitting here today feeling the way I do if it wasn’t for you, and I believe that the future is bright for my company. Your plan to help me get on track and achieve my company goals are just starting. Ask me again in 12 months time how I feel about working with Fiona MacNeill!”

CEO Manufacturing and Sales Business

“Having been in business for over nine years, I felt I’d stagnated and was struggling to see what my next step should be. Through a chance meeting at a Business Women Scotland event, I came across Fiona MacNeill and instantly I felt drawn to her.

She offers a programme called “Thinking Space” which is a bit different from your usual coaching/ mentoring, and a central part of this was working with a framework called Transactional Analysis.

Without even trying to sell herself, I was sold by Fiona’s enthusiasm which really shone through and I wanted that enthusiasm to rub off on me. The first step was to have a discovery call to see if it was a good fit for me and for Fiona to assess whether I was in the frame of mind to do the required personal reflection. In all honesty I knew even before that call that I was going to sign up.

I have worked with several coaches and mentors through the years but this relationship is something different. She’s not too scared to share her own personal experiences, both good and bad. She’s been there, done that and worn the t-shirt out several times. It’s not just about theories, she’s put these theories into practice and knows what works and what doesn’t.

Her values say she’ll be straight with you…and straight with you she is. She’s not one to pussyfoot around and tells you what you WANT to hear, she’ll tell you what you NEED to hear, but all in an encouraging way.

I have had far more out of 3 sessions with Fiona than I’ve had out of 12-month programmes with other specialists. It’s like I have been to the business optician and been given a new set of glasses that makes everything look much clearer. Value for money…you bet it is…and then some.”
